Widely used Marelite Marine paint is based on high-quality raw materials. It is highly bright, and smooth, and it is highly resistant to rust and adverse weather. Marelite Marine paint is specially used on metalwork, especially useable inside and outside of the ship.
Preparation for the site: Before applying paint, use thinner to clean up oily and greasy matter from a specific place properly. Then Use 120 emery paper, a wire brush, or a grinder machine to remove old paint, rust, and separate dust layer. Grit or sandblasting is very effective to clean iron or steel surfaces.
Method of Using Primer: For iron or steel surfaces, use Marelite Zinc Chromate Primer, Marelite Zinc Phosphate Primer, and Marelite anti Corrosive Red Oxide primer. Give 18 - 24 hours for drying up.
Method of Using Topcoat: Use Marelite Marine Paint or Marelite boot topping paint or Marelite non-skid deck paint as per the requirement of the surface. Thin up to 10% - 15% by adding the required thinner with 1 litre of Marelite Marine Paint. For a smoother finish, 2 coats of thinner mixed Marelite Marine Paint can be applied. Then give 18-24 hours in between each coat. Follow the given date sheet of the company to know the application process for all mentioned products of Marelite.
Maintenance: Use a clean brush, roller, and spray for proper application. Clean the brush, roller, and all other equipment with thinner immediately after use. Use mixed paint immediately. Again, mix the paint during the time of applying 2 coats. Use gloves, and eyeglasses for safety.
