Widely used Elite Marine Paint is based on high-quality alkyd resin. Elite Marine Paint is mainly used on woodwork & metal surfaces, both inside and outside of the vessel.
Preparation for the site: Before applying paint, use thinner to clean up oily and greasy matter from a specific place properly. Then use 120 emery paper, a wire brush, or a grinder machine to remove old paint, rust, and separate dust layer. Grit or sandblasting is very effective to clean iron or steel surfaces.
Step-1: For iron or steel surfaces, use Anti Corrosive Red Oxide Primer and for wooden surfaces, use synthetic undercoat as a primer. Give 18 - 24 hours for drying up.
Step-2: Thin up to 10% - 15% by adding Thinner T-1 with Elite Marine Paint. For a smoother finish, 2 coats of thinner mixed Elite Marine Paint can be applied. Then give 18 - 24 hours in each coat. Per litre coverage is about 150 sqft - 170 sqft.
Special Note: Use a clean brush, roller, and spray for proper application. Clean the brush, roller, and all other equipment with thinner immediately after use. Use mixed paint immediately. Again mix the paint during the time of applying 2 coats. Use gloves, and eyeglass for safety.
