Preparation for the site: Before applying Multipurpose Putty White, for the new wall, use 120 sandpaper or stone, and for the old wall, use a scraper or soap to clean up the wall. New plaster is needed to cover different flaws, holes, and cracks in the wall. Use Multipurpose Putty White to plain only for small holes, cracks, or flaws.
Step-1: Use 1 coat A close Sealer (water-based) for new walls and then dry it for 3 - 5 hours. For old walls use 1 coat Plastelite Wall Sealer (solvent-based) and dry it for 18 - 24 hours. If there is a chance of salt dampness, then a Salt Seal can be used as an undercoat.
Step 2: For covering different flaws, holes, and cracks, and smoothing the wall, use Multipurpose Putty White. It will take 10 - 12 hours to get the wall dried up. After that, smoothen the wall by using 180 sandpaper. Use 1 coat of Multipurpose Putty White to smoothen the wall completely after finding out the flaw and unequal space by using light. Give again 10-12 hours for drying up. After that, smoothen the wall by using 220 sandpaper. Then apply 1 coat of Aclose Sealer. After that, smoothen the wall by using 320 sandpaper, and finally use the top coat.
Special Note: Thin up to 2:1 by adding 1 portion of clean water with 2 portions of multipurpose putty white. Per kg, coverage is about 80 – 90 ft as 1 coat. Use a putty knife or scrapper to apply multipurpose putty white.
