Bonntile Texture Paint is a high-performance corrosion-resistant texture-type architectural coating. A three-layer painting system consists of sealer, Texture, and Topcoat. Each layer does the individual function making a highly durable, protective, and decorative painting system.
Preparation for the site: Before applying paint, dust, oil, and fungus should be cleaned up properly. For a new wall, use 120 sandpaper or stone, and for the old wall, use a scraper or soap to clean up. The wall should be dried up properly before applying paint to cure. For newly plastered walls, give about 12 weeks for curing.
Step-1 (Bonntile Sealer): Thin up to 10% by adding clean water with Bonntile Sealer and apply by Brush or Roller on the wall which will be dried up within 2 hours. If there is a chance of salt, then Salt Seal can be applied as an undercoat. Per litre, coverage is about 100 ft.
Step-2 (Wall Putty): For covering different flaws and ensuring smoothness, use Puttelite Wall Putty or Multipurpose Putty. It will take 3 - 4 hours or 10 - 12 hours to get the wall dried up. After that, smoothen the wall by using 220 sandpaper. For a smoother finish, an extra 1 coat of Bonntile sealer may be applied.
Step-3 (Texture Coat): Stir thoroughly. It is ready-to-use paint and does not require extra thinning for our recommended texture designs. It can easily be sprayed by a Bonntile hopper gun on the surface of a building in three-dimensional patterns to choice, heavy, medium, and fine textures. To obtain a head-cut pattern, press down the “mountain” with a roller when the paint is in semi-dry condition (about 15 minutes after application). Per litre coverage is about 100 ft./litre/20 kgs.
Step-4 (Top Coat): Thin up to 50% by adding Bonntile Thinner with Bonntile Top Coat and apply by Brush or Roller on the wall which will be dried up within 1 hour. After drying up the 1st coat, 2 coats should be applied. Recoating time is 8 hours. For a Smoother finish, an extra 1 coat of paint (3 coats) can be applied. Per litre, coverage is about 56 ft/litre (upon texture).
Special Note: Stir the paint well before using. Use a clean brush, roller, and Bonntile hopper gun for proper application. Tightly close the lid after each use so that air does not harm the paint. Clean all equipment immediately after use.
